Todd Burd is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), retired United States Navy veteran, and founder/owner of Connected Counseling PLLC. His professional background includes mental health counseling, substance-use treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, crisis management, case management, social services administration, and organizational leadership. He has worked in private practice, inpatient behavioral health, long-term care, probation-based treatment, veterans’ services, and community social-service settings.
Todd earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Argosy University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He was named the 2012 American Mental Health Counseling Association Graduate Student of the Year and has served in leadership and advisory roles with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Illinois Counseling Association, Coalition of Illinois Counselors’ Organizations, Illinois Joining Forces Behavioral Health Alliance, and Illinois Mental Health Counseling Association.
